What was the challenge?
Zehnder Clean Air Solutions is a global leader in industrial air purification, helping businesses across sectors protect their people and processes through innovative clean air technology. While their reputation in large-scale manufacturing and logistics was strong, they saw an opportunity to grow their presence within the UK woodworking sector, an industry where air quality is often poor, and the long-term health risks of airborne wood dust are frequently underestimated or ignored.
The challenge was twofold: to educate and raise awareness among woodworking businesses about the invisible dangers of wood dust, and to position Zehnder not just as a product supplier, but as a partner in protecting the wellbeing of employees. The campaign needed to cut through industry apathy, challenge outdated mindsets, and reframe clean air as a human issue, not just a regulatory one. It also had to be creative enough to stand out across digital and print channels, while being grounded in real-world insights and compliant with sector regulations.
What did we do about it?
Mooch developed a creative campaign tailored specifically to the woodworking sector, built around the emotionally resonant message: “The air we breathe is rarely a problem. Until it is.” At the heart of the campaign was the idea of reframing clean air from a background compliance issue to a visible and urgent matter of duty of care. Titled “The Air You Breathe”, the campaign took cues from powerful public health and anti-smoking campaigns, using bold, human-centred messaging to make the invisible dangers of wood dust impossible to ignore.
We created a series of key visuals that were bold, disruptive, and emotionally charged, designed to stop the scroll, challenge assumptions, and spark meaningful conversations. Each asset was rooted in real human insight and crafted with a sharp understanding of workplace conditions, regulatory pressures, and health implications. These visuals were deployed across digital channels, print, and targeted outreach to drive qualified leads and increase brand visibility in the woodworking space.
To further strengthen the campaign’s credibility and impact, we also produced a testimonial-led video featuring one of Zehnder’s existing woodworking clients. The film showcased how Zehnder’s solutions had tangibly improved air quality on-site, demonstrating the real-world effectiveness of their products in creating safer working environments. This powerful combination of emotive storytelling, creative visual execution, and real-life proof points allowed Zehnder to authentically connect with a new audience, generate qualified leads, and shift the conversation around clean air from optional to essential.
